The complexity of working with children and families to achieve healthy living within our communities, both on the reserve and in the urban areas, requires a multi-faceted approach.
Prevention Services offers counselling and a safe haven for families, and interactive programming and projects to promote and maintain a healthy lifestyle for families.
We also are reaching out to children who have been previously adopted in various provinces, so that they may have the opportunity to regain their cultural, traditional and spiritual heritage and identity.
We work with the Yellow Quill chief and council to help maintain the wellbeing of the community, however, individual cases and client information is not shared.
YQCFPS includes six regular board members, and two ex-officiis, a portfolio councillor and the Yellow Quill Chief.
To work with our children, youth, families and community for safety, protection and well-being of children.

Jordan's Principle makes sure all First Nations children living in Canada can access the products, services and supports they need, when they need them. Funding can help with a wide range of health, social and educational needs, including the unique needs that First Nations Two-Spirit and LGBTQQIA children and youth and those with disabilities may have.
Jordan's Principle is named in memory of Jordan River Anderson. He was a young boy from Norway House Cree Nation in Manitoba.
